  The Legion of Scythe, though familiar in the spiritual realm, is almost non-existent in the knowledge of mortal man. Only a select few are aware of this seemingly secret society that operates out of the Temple of Destiny.
  Its members, the Scythes, are semi-physical beings that are charged with the harvesting of human souls at they cross over into the spiritual realm. They were designed by the Scythe Godhead (Morbid Libra, Death and Penance) to assist with the overwhelming task of harvest that was imposed upon Death during a time when the human race began to multiply. The Legion has been empowered to carry out Death's laws in his absence. While they appear frightening to man, they mean only to honor nature's balance.
  Many tales and legends have risen from Earth's crust of these entities. They are recognized as one singular being, Death himself. Death, while truly an immortal, is governed by laws that limit his ability to be everywhere at once. Thus the Legion enables Death to assume control by bidding his will on a larger, more organized scale.
  The Temple of Destiny harbors a chamber deep within its caverns that accommodates Death when he deems it necessary to impose his will more intimately with the Scythe Legion. This serves as Death's Throne Room and often deals with the harvesting of a human before their natural time. This type of harvest often comes from the higher revered Scythe God known as the Morbid Libra. The Libra is the judge of all things natural or not and directs Death to "reap" a soul to stand trial upon his scales.
